Wilderhope

Shropshire hamlet, 7 miles SW of Much Wenlock.

Wilderhope Manor is a sixteenth century stone-built manor house. Possibly the original of Undern Hall in Gone to Earth (1917) by Mary Webb (1888-1927), home of the moustache-twirling villain Jack Reddin.
