Whitchurch

Warwickshire village, 3.5 miles SE of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, and situated near Stratford-upon-Avon, little remains of this village, although the church of St. Mary still stands. Ursula Bloom (1892-1984) lived here as a child, and her father was rector at the church.
