Shropshire village, 2 miles NE of Shrewsbury.
Wilfred Owen (1893-1918) and his family often worshipped at the church here on Sundays in the summer having walked from their home in Monkmoor Road, Shrewsbury and crossed the river to Uffington by the ferry.
