Strensham

Worcestershire hamlet.

Near to the present day M5 motorway, and down a narrow lane leading from the service area that bears its name.

Samuel Butler (1612-1680), author of Hudibras, was born here in a house that later became known as Butler's Cot before being demolished in the 19th century. His father worked for Sir John Russell of Strensham Court.
