Key Stage 3 History resources for teachersThis page lists those themes, or parts of themes, which could be integrated with units from the Schemes of work for History at Key Stage 3 (opens in a new window). Although you may be teaching outside of the non-statutory scheme, the links to the units in the tables below give a general guide to the historical topics covered by the theme. Outside of this list, any of the resources on Shropshire Routes to Roots could help Key Stage 3 pupils to learn "about significant individuals and events in the history of Britain from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century". Themes often contain teacher's Resources (such as galleries of images, links and further reading), worksheets and glossaries suitable for the target age group. Where these are available, this is indicated with an x in the tables below. Note that all the pages on Shropshire Routes to Roots, including worksheets, are 'printer friendly', meaning they will print out without unnecessary logos or links and as such can be easily distributed to a class in a paper form.
