Citizenship resources for teachersAlthough Shropshire Routes to Roots is primarily focused on history, many themes on the site could provide supporting resources for teaching citizenship across all Key Stages. This page lists those themes which could be integrated with units from the Schemes of work (opens in a new window) for citizenship. Although you may be teaching outside of the non-statuory scheme, the links to the units in the tables below give a general guide to the citizenship topics covered by the theme. There may be other resources on the site which support the teaching of citizenship but which are not listed here. Note that all the pages on Shropshire Routes to Roots, including worksheets, are 'printer friendly', meaning they will print out without unnecessary logos or links and as such can be easily distributed to a class in a paper form.
