Sir,
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 22nd February. The parcel of affects belonging to your late son (M2/115010) Pte W.J.Higley has been forwarded on to you this day. I am sorry that the wrong parcel was sent you and must thank you for returning the parcel forwarded to you. These are the only articles at present received, but should anything further be received, they will be immediately forwarded to you. With reference to the war bond, nothing is known about them in this office. I should suggest you writing to the Secretary War Office, Imperial Institute, South Kensington, London, SW7
