In order to answer these questions, you will need to refer to the Suffragette sources

  1. Study SOURCE A. What did the Suffragettes hope to achieve with this Bill? Use your knowledge to help you answer this question.
  2. Study SOURCE B. This source says that the National Society for Women's Suffrage, needs to become a "more complete and extensive organisation". According to the source, how is this going to be achieved. Use your knowledge to help you answer this question.
  3. Study SOURCES C and D. Why do the Suffragettes think that women should be able to vote? Use your knowledge to help you answer this question.
  4. Study SOURCE D. 'This source is obviously written by someone who supported the Suffragettes, which means that it is not a valuable source' Explain whether you agree with this statement or not. Use your knowledge to help you answer this question.
  5. Study SOURCES E and F. What do these sources tell us about the attitude of the police to the Suffragettes? Use your knowledge to help you answer this question.
