Worksheets and activities
Included on this page are suggested activities that could also
be adapted in the classroom:
- The journal approach (Opens
in a new window).
Using the information acquired during lessons and through reading
the 'fact sheet' pupils can compile their own journal, tackling
some of the major issues surrounding the Black Death. The
template for the journal is printable so that the journal could
be compiled by 'hand' or alternatively, pupils could use
Microsoft Publisher to create their own journal, using the
subheadings suggested. Through the completion of this activity,
the pupils will be able to "demonstrate an understanding of the
Black Death" having "planned and produced a structured account of
the Black Death".
- Black Death crossword
Test your knowledge of the Black Death, by trying this crossword.

alternatively you can complete the clues online using the
interaction version created using the Hot Potatoes software. All
of the clues and answers are based on information that can be
found in the 'fact sheet' within this theme.
