World War One and World War Two themes

The themes within the World Wars learning package examine aspects of national and international history from a local perspective, looking at the impact and significance of the wars for Shropshire, England. Although Shropshire is a rural county, it was affected greatly by both of the major conflicts. Many local people left the county to fight, whilst others such as evacuees came into the area. Shropshire also saw its fair share of 'action', with aircraft crashes, bombings and military bases.
