Keith Miles

Profile

Keith Miles was born in Wales in 1940, but has spent over thirty years in the Midlands, firstly living in Sutton Coldfield, and then in a Warwickshire village. Much of his work is based around the West Midlands, from his TV work on the early series of Crossroads to his adaptations of the Coventry Mystery Plays.

A prolific writer, he has written over forty novels, many of his novels feature the Midlands. His series of children's books, published under the generic title of Sin bin, focus on a tough inner city school in Birmingham. One of his crime novels, Stone dead (1991)--written under the pseudonym Martin Inigo--was set at the Belfry, Sutton Coldfield, during the Ryder Cup golf tournament. His best known series of Domesday books, written under the pseudonym Edward Marston, takes in many parts of the West Midlands; The dragons of Archenfield (1995) is set near Hereford and The foxes of Warwick (1999) is set in the county town of Warwick.
