Lydiate Ash

Worcestershire village, 3 miles N of Bromsgrove.

The novelist, Mrs. Henry Wood re-arranged the name of this Worcestershire village to become Ashlydyat in The shadow of Ashlydyat (1863). Nearby Bromsgrove has many of the characteristics of Prior's Ash in the same novel.
