The full text of several of the novels of Rhoda Broughton (1840-1920) can be read online on this website or downloaded free of charge. Titles appearing in the list below (arranged in chronological order) were originally digitised by Robert Bamford and appeared in the Golden Gale Electronic Library using his own reading software. They are no longer available online but copies of all these files are held in the West Midlands Creative Literature Collection. Those texts with links have been converted into XHTML web page format, with permission, and it is intended to convert further titles from the list in due course. In addition, the only published collection of short stories Rhoda Broughton is also available.
Please note the file sizes as they may take some time to open-up if you choose to read them online. Downloading for reading later may be the preferred option and this can be typically achieved by calling up an option box. If you have a mouse and it is configured for left click to select, right clicking the link may give you this option.
