Shropshire village, 5 miles N of Ludlow.

The author and artist Richard Duppa (d.1831) was baptised here in February 1768. His prolific output mainly covers botanical, artistic, and political subjects.

The linguist Robert Williams (1810-1881) was rector from 1879.
