Herefordshire village, 5 miles SW of Great Malvern.
The village, lies at the foot of the Malvern Hills, between Great Malvern and Ledbury.
Possibly the birthplace of William Langland, author of The vision of Piers Plowman.
W.H. Auden (1907-1973) was a teacher at the Downs School, on the edge of the village, from 1932 to 1935.
The children's author Geoffrey Trease (1909- ) lived here.
