Warwickshire village, 2 miles S of Stratford-upon-Avon.
The Manor House was the home of Sir Henry Rainsford and his wife Anne Goodere. She featured as the 'Idea' in the poetry of Michael Drayton (1563-1631). He had grown up under the patronage of her father and regularly visited her here.
