All Stretton

Shropshire village, 12 miles SSW of Shrewsbury.

The author Hesba Stretton (1832-1911) often spent time here visiting her younger sister, Ann, who lived at a house called Caradoc Lodge. Hesba eventually took the name 'Stretton' as part of her nom de plume when she became a writer.
